Laser Duck Creations started in 2025, and it was named by our daughter Alexis. She collects all things duck — there are shelves of rubber ducks in her room — so when a family laser project needed a name, the duck stuck.
Today, Kris, his wife Casha, and Alexis are the driving force behind the business. Our younger kids — Payton, Michael, and Kim — support us at trade show events, talking with customers and helping set up and take down the booths.
It all started in a space at home we call The Workshop. It began as a she-shed, and as the lasers, printers, and ideas grew, it became The Workshop — now known as the Laser Duck Workshop.
The first thing we engraved was a leatherette patch, followed by custom cow tags for a friend. That mix — a small personal item, made exactly for one person — is still what we do: slate coaster gift sets, leatherette patches and patch hats, keychains, cutting boards, and golf tees, made in Llano, Texas, in the Texas Hill Country.
